About Bargas Wellness
At Bargas Wellness, we believe that a healthy lifestyle and a strong heart are the foundation of wellness. Whether you are suffering from a chronic condition or want to take steps today to prevent chronic disease or heart issues down the road, we’re here to help you establish habits that will enable you to live a longer, more fulfilling life.
The Heartbeat of Our Practice
Like many of our patients, Dr. Bargas was attracted to integrative cardiology and functional medicine because she experienced firsthand how conventional medicine falls short when it comes to healing patients suffering from cardiovascular disease or chronic conditions. After eight years of practicing in a conventional medicine setting, Bargas Wellness was founded to help patients discover the unique cause of their conditions and learn solutions that strive to heal them and make them truly well.

Sue Forbat – Patient Care Coordinator & Health Coach
RN, BSN, FMCHC
Originally from Fort Worth, Texas, Sue completed nursing school at Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania through the assistance of a full VA Health Professional Scholarship. Following graduation, she completed a 2-year residency at the VA Medical Center in Dallas, serving in the areas of spinal cord injury and critical care.
In the years that followed, she worked in home health while living in Hattiesburg, Mississippi and then in Edmond, Oklahoma. As a parent of a son with autism and a daughter with chronic health issues, she pursued best possible treatments for them and was subsequently introduced to functional medicine.
The experience of watching her own children begin to thrive through this individualized approach in which root causes are determined and treated, became a passion for her as a health professional. She sought further education to become a functional medicine certified health coach and highly values the opportunity to walk alongside patients, collaborating with them in their journeys of healing and wellness. In her spare time Sue enjoys cooking and exploring new recipes, coffee with friends, classical music, and especially spending time with her husband David, son Luke, and daughter Hanna.
